New Age White

New Age White is a light yellow-green colored wine, with fruity and floral aromas of great intensity. Balanced acidity leads to soft, semi-sweet and slightly effervescent flavors and mouth feel. It is an extremely refreshing, vivacious and sensual wine.

Winemaker Notes: The fruit is hand picked followed by crushing, cooling of crushed grapes, and pressing. Fermentation begins by inoculating with selected yeasts. Halfway through the fermentation process, the wine is centrifuged (spun) to halt fermentation, creating a slightly sweet, semi-sparkling wine.

Blend: 90% Torrontes and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. Alcohol: 9%

Serve well-chilled as an aperitif or dessert. Also tastes great with spicy Thai, Indian, Chinese or Japanese cuisine.

Just add ice and a lime for a New Age “Tincho”!

2015 Sauvignon Blanc

Whitehall Lane was founded in 1979 but the history of the soil cultivation dates back two centuries. In the mid 1800's, Napa Valley settlers were drawn to the deep, loamy soils and ideal climate, planting high quality grape vines at the Whitehall Lane Winery site. A barn constructed in the early 1900's for equipment storage is still used today. In 1979, two brothers started the winery and directed their winemaking efforts successfully to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. They named the winery after the road that runs along the south border of the property, Whitehall Lane.

In its short history, Whitehall Lane has developed into a world-class winery. The efforts of the Leonardini Family are evident in the recent run of accolades from wine publications but are even more apparent in the beautifully made, elegant wines we continue to make.

The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshing wine with citrusy lemon, tart apple and sweet melon flavors and aromas. It is a nicely balanced wine with good weight and a clean finish. 70% of the fruit was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and 30% in new French oak barrels.The barrel-fermented portion was aged for only six weeks. Utilizing both tank and barrels for fermenting accentuates the crisp fruit flavors and increases complexity. 9% Semillon was blended in for enhanced sweet, round flavors and mouth-feel. Alcohol 13.5 %

2013 Can Blau Red Blend

The Montsant appellation in Spain, where Cellar Can Blau is located, is shaped like a horseshoe because it surrounds the Priorat appellation on three sides. This is a new operation and the owners selected the village of Mas Roig as the base of operations and purchased 60 acres of vineyards with an average age of 35 years. The winemaking team for this inaugural wine is Australian Liz Reed and Catalan winemaker Ricard Rofes.

The 2013 Can Blau is part of the Juan Gil Winery. With 12 months in French oak, a mere 7 more months than its younger counter part Blau, it hits like a velvet hammer. Rich red and blue fruit explode the minute you uncork the bottle. Vanilla and incense from the oak will start wafting around your glass as you taste every flavor you smelled with pristine balance of fruit, acidity and dryness.

Blend: 40% Cariñena, 40% Syrah and 20% Garnacha.

Winemaker's Notes: Wood smoke, spice box, incense, lavender, black cherry and plum aromas are followed by a mouth-filling, round, dense wine with outstanding grip and length. It over-delivers in a big way.

Blend: 40% Cariñena, 40% Syrah and 20% Garnacha.

Pair with rice, pasta, vegetables, stewed meats, sausage, pork, roast meat, red and/or white meat with sauces, grilled meat, and cheeses.

Vinous / Antonio Galloni 90 Points - "Opaque ruby. Potent blackcurrant, licorice and floral aromas, complicated by an exotic apricot note emerging in the glass. The juicy, focused palate shows good energy, offering bitter cherry, dark chocolate and violet pastille. Finishes with very good tenacity, easygoing tannins and an echo of candied licorice. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels for one year. "

2013 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon

David Ramey has long had one of the most impressive resumes for any California winemaker. He worked at Chateau Petrus in Bordeaux and for Christian Moueix at Dominus. He also consulted and worked for a number of high end Napa Valley wineries. Of course, his first love is Ramey Wine Cellars, and he has built an extensive empire of Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons and more recently Syrahs as well as a tiny quantity of Pinot Noir

Aging on the fine lees incorporates the oak so that the 18 months spent in 56% new barrels (a mixture of three-year air dried French and American) is barely noticeable. As with all our wines, it was fermented with native yeasts and bacteria and bottled without filtration in June 2015.

Winemaker Notes: Our ninth vintage of this appellation Cabernet is blended from a combination of hillside and valley floor vineyards.  Our style combines the harmony produced by traditional Bordelaise winemaking techniques with the voluptuousness gained from California’s weather, especially in this perfect vintage

Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot. Alcohol 14.5
